HOW IT STARTED (Way back in 2002):

Two single women with years of experience in event planning and promotions wanted to create the kind of dating service that they would love to use – a dating service with fun, energy and adventure.

SUCCESS (Cupid move over...):

Today Single in the City is one of the Top Dating Services & Singles Event Companies in Southern Ontario. Thousands of successfully matched couples throughout the GTA can testify to this and every year thousands of new clients are taking advantage of the social opportunities that SITC offers.

THE WAY IT WORKS (Love is in the air, mostly in the air surrounding SITC events):

Busy professional singles know where to go for the social life they crave and the love they seek – “Single in the City” offers speed dating, dinner parties, outdoor activities, vacations, dances and more...all in friendly no-pressure settings and managed by expert staff that break the ice for everyone and make the environment conducive for finding romance.

WE’RE CONSTANTLY GROWING (Resistance is futile):

*SITC now reaches beyond the GTA to include areas such as Halton Region, Hamilton, London Ontario, Barrie & Durham Region.

*In 2004 SITC added a Dating Service for those singles who wanted a more personal and involved approach to meeting someone. Dedicated staff use computer technology, personal interviews, years of experience, intuition (and according to some impressed clients, ESP) in order to make the best possible match for each client.

*Major media sources everywhere are praising SITC for its innovative events and dating service: CFRB 1010, Mix 99.9, 102.1 the Edge, The Toronto Star, Metro News, The Toronto Sun, The Mississauga News, The Burlington Post, The Hamilton Spectator, The London Free Press and so many more.


At Single in the city we realize how difficult it is these days to find that special someone. Our lives are busier than ever and we often put our careers as a priority. By the time we make a decision to look for that someone special, all of the traditional outlets such as meeting someone at school or the bar scene just aren’t options.

It can be exceptionally difficult for both men and women re-entering the singles lifestyle who are divorcees or widows; there are more and more people becoming single again in their mid-life. Starting a whole new social life after being married for many years is very tough.

We understand the complex problems that come with being single; such as only having married friends, facing pressure from family to meet someone, dealing with insecurities and uncertainties due to past relationships and besides all of that it can be just plain scary.

All of these are reasons why we strive to provide new, fun, and safe opportunities for busy professional singles to meet for both social and romantic purposes. We want to make the search for love a pleasure in itself.
