Durham – Speed dating is coming to Oshawa.
The latest trend in the single scene, speed dating allows people to “date” up to 25 people in one night.

Single in the City, a business established in May 2002, will bring its speed dating service to Le Skratch on March 27 in two groups, ages 25-35 and 35 to 45.

On that night, between 50 to 100 singles will attend the closed event and have the opportunity to meet with other singles for four minutes at a time, moving on to meet others at the sound of the bell.<br><br>
Each person will mark down on the supplied card whether they want to meet with someone again. The organizers take the completed cards and within 48 hours of the event, participants receive emails with names of people with which they’ve been matched.

In most successful relationships, both parties know within minutes if there is some form of an attraction,” said Laura Bilotta, president of Single in the City.

“We offer single people a fun way to quickly and effectively meet many other singles, without investing a lot of time or money.”
Since its start, Single in the City has brought together more than a few hundred couples, she said.

The cost for the evening is $55, which includes light refreshments and 25 four-minute dates, live jazz and prizes.
